2021 GMC Yukon at Budds’ Chev in Oakville, ON
Since its inception in 1991, the GMC Yukon has been the gold standard when it comes to large SUVs; to celebrate 30 years on the road, the 2021 GMC Yukon has been upgraded with more features, more technology, and more premium materials, allowing it to continue leading the way in the SUV segment. Read on and learn more about the 2021 GMC Yukon with the team over at Budds’ Chev, Oakville’s premier destination for Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, and GMC vehicles!
The 2021 GMC Yukon commands respect on every road, thanks to a simultaneously imposing and luxurious design. The new Yukon offers classic SUV-styling thanks to its large grille flanked by all-new, signature C-shaped LED lights, and a slightly angled roofline that directs the eyes toward the rear of the vehicle. With chrome accents found along the windows, front and rear fascia, and side panels, not to mention the grille and exhaust, the 2021 Yukon seriously delivers on the promise of a more luxurious SUV.
Inside the 2021 GMC Yukon, comfort and convenience are only surpassed by the amount of passenger and cargo space available. Supremely comfortable seats are decked out in soft touch materials, like the buttery leather found in the Yukon Denali trim, while a number of traditional materials and accents provide a balance to the array of advanced technologies and amenities found inside the vehicle. From the sliding centre console, to its three ample rows and rear cargo area, the 2021 GMC Yukon offers no shortage of utility thanks to the clever design of its large frame.

A Dynamic Fuel Management system works in concert with variable valve timing and direct injection, bestowing the Yukon with 355 horsepower and a heavy 383 lb-ft of torque—more than enough pickup whether you’re travelling to work or passing vehicles on the highway. The 2021 Denali finds itself in a class of its own thanks to a 6.2L V8 offering a best-in-class 420 horsepower, along with 460 lb-ft of torque.
But the 2021 GMC Yukon is more than raw power; the available Air Ride Adaptive Suspension system brings undeniable comfort by automatically adjusting your suspension and vehicle height by up to 2”, according to the conditions of the road. The GMC Traction Select System offers on-the-fly adjustments at the push of a button—swapping from Normal Mode to Sport, Off Road, or even Tow/Haul mode—by optimizing powertrain calibrations along with traction control and stability control, so you can tackle any terrain with the utmost confidence.

GMC Yukon Model Changes
Much like the 2020 GMC Yukon, and every version preceding it, the 2021 Yukon is a heavy duty SUV with the power to match. However, for the first time in the nameplate’s history, it offers an even smoother ride thanks to an independent rear suspension. The 2021 version is also larger than the 2020 Yukon, by 6.1-inches overall (including a 4.9-inch increase in wheelbase). This makes for an even roomier cabin than offered years prior—even if that’s difficult to believe. While the engine hasn’t changed drastically, the 2021 GMC Yukon is matched to a brand-new 10-speed automatic for improved fuel economy and smoother shifting. The exterior has also seen a number of upgrades, from a higher hood line to the new, C-shaped LED headlamps that perfectly complement the Yukon’s rugged looks.
