Interior Design
Refreshed Interior Elements
Truck buyers have notoriously high standards. Chevy has met that challenge with the updated interior features available in the 2022 Silverado. Each trim (LT and higher) gets a new interior design that replaces vertically-oriented elements with horizontal features, delivering a greater feeling of space in the passenger cabin.
Integrated Technology
Automotive technology is progressing faster than ever, and these new technologies work together more and better than anything we’ve seen. The driver will benefit from a digital information screen that replaces traditional analog gauges. Additionally, the available Rear Camera Mirror and heads-up display will give the driver better situational awareness while out on the road.
Available Super Cruise
We are still a little ways out from having fully self-driving vehicles on the road. However, the 2022 Chevy Silverado is equipped with a system that takes us a few steps closer. The top-of-the-line High Country trim can be equipped with Super Cruise, a semi-autonomous hands-free driving system. It can be used on 320,000 km of marked highways in Canada and the U.S..

Performance & Capability
2022 Silverado Performance
No two truck buyers are the same. Furthermore, each of those buyers is going to have an untold number of different needs. Chevrolet offers four engine options, including a turbo-diesel option and a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that has picked up more torque for the 2022 model year, making towing easier for the truck. The rest of the Silverado engine menu has remained the same from last year.
Diesel Engine Performance
Even though there are other powertrain technologies coming to market, the 2022 Chevy Silverado is still available with a cutting-edge Duramax diesel engine. The turbocharged 3.0-liter, inline six-cylinder engine will make 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. It is also attached to a 10-speed automatic transmission and it can tow up to 4,309 kg (9,500 lbs.).
New Silverado Towing Capacity
Towing capacity will always be closely tied to the success of any pickup truck. Models of the 2022 Chevy Silverado with the 5.3-litre V-8 will be able to pull up to 5,080 kg (11,200 lbs.). The turbocharged 2.7-litre, four-cylinder tops out at 4,309 kg (9,500 lbs.), and the top-end 6.2-litre, V-8 has a peak towing capacity of 5,987 kg (13,200 lbs.).

Technology
New Digital Information Screens
Connectivity is a very important element for today’s truck buyers. The truck is equipped with two large digital screens, one 12.3-inch screen is located behind the steering wheel to give the driver crucial information and the other, a 13.4-inch touchscreen, controls the infotainment system. Several trim grades will employ Google Built-In technology that allow for expanded voice-controlled access to a number of different systems and features.
Additional Connectivity
In addition to being compatible with almost a full slate of Google products, the infotainment used by the 2022 Silverado also works with the Amazon Alexa digital home assistant. Owners of the 2022 Chevy Silverado who also use Alexa-connected devices will be able to access almost all of them while in the vehicle.
myChevrolet Application
There is a smartphone app for just about any purpose. That now includes keeping an eye on your 2022 Chevy Silverado. Owners who use this technology will be able to use the app as a key fob, locking or unlocking the truck’s doors. Additionally, the app will let people know if there is a problem with the truck, sending a vehicle status report to the phone. They will also be able to schedule service directly from the application.
Safety
Chevy Safety Assist
Every automaker takes driver and passenger safety seriously. Chevrolet has made a wide variety of active safety systems available with the 2022 Chevy Silverado. The truck can be equipped with these monitoring systems:
- Forward Collision Alert
