Follow these steps to wirelessly connect your smartphone to your vehicle’s infotainment system to use Android Auto:

1. After turning on your car, truck or SUV, tap the gray Android Auto button.

2. Connect your phone to the infotainment system using Bluetooth.

3. Simply follow the prompts on the vehicle’s touchscreen as well as on the phone.

The iPhone is one of the most popular smartphones on the planet. Software engineers have done an amazing job streamlining the steps to connect an iPhone to your vehicle’s infotainment system. Owners of the iPhone 5 and later will be able to connect to Apple CarPlay. To tell if your vehicle’s infotainment system is compatible with Apple CarPlay, look for the Apple CarPlay or Projection icon on the home screen.
