Is the Rear Camera Mirror the future of rear view mirrors?

The Rear Camera Mirror has gained much attention and popularity among the public. The rear camera mirror is one of many safety technology features found in GM’s vehicles. The mirror replaces the traditional rear view mirror with a HD live streaming video providing a clear, wider and less obstructed view of what is behind your vehicle.

How does the mirror work?

The camera is located at the tailgate and streams directly to the rear view mirror. The camera captures a crisp image on a 1280 x 240 display on the mirror. If you’re not a huge fan of the rear camera mirror, thats no problem either.  All you have to do in order to convert the mirror back to a traditional mirror is flip the toggle down at the bottom to turn off the digital view.

What vehicles does it come in?

2017 and newer models:

  • Cadillac CT6
  • Cadillac Escalade
  • Cadillac XT5

2018 Models

  • Chevrolet Traverse
  • Chevrolet Bolt

**appropriate trim levels must apply*
